Sponsorship
Tan Wei Ka is an 11-year-old girl. She has a soft spot for animals and has undertaken to sponsor, from her own pocket money, a cat by the name of Silver. She is a very bright and jovial girl. She also feeds a cat that has strayed into her house. She named the cat Lazy.
Wong Chee Yern is a Form Three student. She is a very kind girl with a soft heart towards animals (like her mother). She sponsored one of the kittens and named him Ronaldo (the kitten beats him hands down when it comes to good looks). Chee Yern is very mature for her age. She is a very responsible girl. She teaches music to earn some extra pocket money.
Wong Chee Mun is Chee Yern’s elder sister. She is a Form Five student. Like her sister and mother, Chee Mun has a very soft spot for animals. She sponsors a cat named Brittany (nickname Tan-Wong; Tan for egg in Chinese because she is the colour of an egg-yolk and Wong for her surname). Here she is seen carrying Leopard. (Our latest addition). Also like Chee Yern, she teaches music part-time.
These are Yakult and Vitagen. They are sponsored by Jeffri Tan. Jeffri is too shy to be photographed. He found Yakult at a ‘mamak’ stall. Why ‘Yakult’? Only Jeffrey knows the answer to that… When he saw the black kitten, he decided to sponsor him as well. Jeffri has a very kind heart. A few months back, he rescued a beagle pup from an owner who locked him up in a storeroom and only fed him when he came to the office. He had to pay RM200 for the pup. Jeffri named him Puffy. Later, we found someone to adopt Puffy. Unfortunately, Puffy contracted parvo virus and in spite of all the effort by the new owner to save him, he succumbed to the illness.
Chloe Chong is a student at UTAR and hails from Sabah. She joined us as a part-time clerk in October 2007. She is a great asset to us. She can be entrusted to take care of the cats and puppies. She is not bothered by the smell and the poo-poo. She will not hesitate to clean up for them. All these on top of the other clerical work that she has to do. We are very glad to have her on our team and we hope she can be with us for a long time more.

She fell in love with the 3 puppies (read about them in my blog) and decided to sponsor them. Such generosity she has. In this short time that we know her, she has shown herself to be a friend to animals. Blessed is the man who wins her heart!

Note: The 3 puppies have since been adopted (find out who has adopted them in Animal Welfare).

This is Fanny Soh. She is 13 years old. Such a beautiful girl! A beautiful girl with a beautiful heart. Like her 2 younger sisters, she likes animals. Circumstances forbade her from keeping pets at home, so she decided to sponsor a baby rabbit. Here, she is seen with her ‘foster baby’ which she named Pecan, the sister of Peanut (Peanut is Shantal’s foster baby). Fanny is not only beautiful, she is also very smart. Last year, she obtained straight As for UPSR, in spite of the fact that she only took up Bahasa Melayu seriously when she came to Malaysia from Singapore the year before. At such a young age, she speaks excellent English and she sat for her Cambridge FCE level recently. More importantly, her heart is at the right place. She is kind not only to people but also to animals.

This is Shantal Soh. She is 11 years old. Like her elder sister, Fanny, she sponsors a baby rabbit and named it Peanut. Shantal is a very sweet girl. Not only sweet in disposition, she has a heart of gold. She has a soft spot for animals too. Studies may not be her forte, nevertheless, she gets top marks for humanity which is a far more important value to have in life. Most certainly, Shantal takes after her sister in the way she treats animals.

This sweet and shy girl is Charmaine Soh. Charmaine is only 8 years old. She is the youngest of the Soh siblings. She may be young of age, but she is eighteen in maturity. She is very shy and is quite small for her age. Small in size but big in brains, that’s Charmaine. It’s great that at this young age, she has developed a liking for animals, I guess, it’s thanks to her two older siblings. She has adopted the 3rd of the baby rabbits and she named it Almond.
